Rest interval

A rest interval is the time from the end of one set to the start of the next.

Rest interval: a practical example

For example, a rest timer starts after you finish your first set of rows.

Use it in your log

When you log your workout, keep this in mind: record unusual changes in rest when they affect how the next set feels.

Next, use the workout log to keep names, weights and reps in one place. Then check your progress across sessions.
