Intensity
Intensity describes how hard a task is. It can refer to the load or to your effort.
Intensity: a practical example
For example, a plan may describe intensity as a percentage of maximum load, while you describe a set using RPE.
Use it in your log
When you log your workout, keep this in mind: state which meaning you intend. Heavy load and a hard-feeling set are related but different ideas.
Next, use the workout log to keep names, weights and reps in one place. Then check your progress across sessions.
Related terms
These examples explain terms. They do not tell you what to lift. If you need help with a plan, ask a qualified trainer.
