Personal record

A personal record is your best logged result for a clearly defined move or measure.

Personal record: a practical example

For example, you log more reps at your usual bench-press weight than in any earlier recorded session.

Use it in your log

When you log your workout, keep this in mind: a PR can be a rep, load or other record. Compare the same movement and conditions.

Next, use the workout log to keep names, weights and reps in one place. Then check your progress across sessions.
