Active recovery

Active recovery uses light activity during a recovery period in place of a hard session.

Active recovery: a practical example

For example, an easy walk is a different demand from another hard leg workout.

Use it in your log

When you log your workout, keep this in mind: the activity should match your situation. Calling a workout recovery does not make it easy.

Next, use the workout log to keep names, weights and reps in one place. Then check your progress across sessions.
