Who writes the notes
GameLiftEat is run by its founder, Pedro Zabala, a gamer, lifter and home cook. Pedro is not a doctor, dietitian or physical therapist. When a note shares his own experience, it says so, and it keeps that separate from what the research shows.
How AI is used
Notes are drafted with help from AI writing tools, working from sources we chose. Pedro then reviews every note before it’s published: he checks each health or food claim against the source it cites, cuts claims the sources don’t support, and edits the wording. AI tools never publish anything on their own, and they never invent people, quotes, test results or reviews for us.
Sources
- Health, fitness and food claims link to where they come from: peer-reviewed studies, public-health guidelines, professional bodies, or a product’s published label.
- We prefer primary research and official guidance over news stories and other blogs.
- Each note lists the sources it checked at the bottom, so you can read them yourself.
- Where the evidence is thin, mixed or from small studies, the note says so.
- Products are judged from their published labels unless the note says we used them ourselves. We don’t claim to have tested anything we haven’t.
Not medical advice
Field Notes are general information to help you build small habits around gaming. They aren’t medical advice and can’t replace a professional who knows your health. If you have pain that doesn’t go away, a health condition, or you’re pregnant, talk to a doctor or other qualified professional before changing how you eat or train.
Dates and updates
Each note shows the date it was first published. When we revise a note in a way that matters to readers, such as new sources, corrected facts or changed advice, it also shows an “Updated” date.
Corrections
Spotted a mistake, a broken source link, or a claim that doesn’t match its source? Email hello@gamelifteat.com with the note and what’s wrong. We check every report. If we got something wrong, we fix the note and update its date.
