Treat the day like an endurance event
Eight hours at a LAN is not physically identical to a race, but it has the same planning problem: energy, hydration, comfort, and decision fatigue all get worse when you improvise.
Pack in layers
- One real meal with protein, carbohydrates, and produce.
- Two clean snacks you can eat one-handed.
- A refillable water bottle.
- A caffeine ceiling decided before the event starts.
Win tomorrow morning
Set a stopping time for caffeine, drink water with your final meal, and give yourself a short walk before bed. Recovery starts before sign-off.
